Bespoke: Leone Collection 2
The Leone collection is one that was rich with complex meaning. Leone, meaning lion, was the inspiration for this necklace and earring set. Working in collaboration with a favorite black diamond specialist, Ashley created these pieces to raise money to help build schools in Sierra Leone. Each piece created was a true homage to femininity, to the lionesses who have inspired Ashley in her life.
Black diamonds crowned in pave diamond ribbon accents are paired with opulent seed pearl tassel drops set in 18- karat white gold. The black diamonds are surrounded with halos that are inspired by regal tiaras. The ribbon accents are designed to represent ribbons in the hair of women. The soft look Japanese seed pearls juxtapose with the strong, angular lines of the black diamonds, showing the duality of woman: she is both as strong and as soft as she needs to be. The overall decadence of these pieces is almost Gastby-esque, and even the minor details hold deep meaning.
