Whenever I’m asked about layering necklaces, my answer is always play with your pieces and see which combinations work for you! Layering your necklaces is a wonderful opportunity to create your own unique style. Experiment with different lengths, and keep your layers uneven. Matching your metals is always a safe bet, as is combining a statement necklace with simpler ones. Try different chains, and don’t be afraid to add pendants into the mix. It began with a pair of repurposed heirloom flower earrings, and ended with a set of necklaces that are as elegant as they are uniquely artistic. The yellow gold flowers, set with diamonds and pearls, are showcased next to diamond-studded chain links and a single floating pearl. A golden feather is accented with rows of organically placed white diamonds, and a diamond clasp puts the finishing touch on this truly fabulous set of necklaces.

While these pieces don't blend, they effortlessly harmonize. The chain with the thicker links serves as a modern day choker, and is an anchor for this set. The longer, opera style chain can be worn in tandem with this choker necklace, or can be doubled around and worn as two layers. This longer necklace, with its diamond studded feather, front clasp, and hammered links, is a modern take on a classic long layering necklace.
