Behind every piece I make is a deeper meaning and a story. This piece is no exception: it is centered around a stunning abalone pearl, found by the husband of my client on his first ever deep-sea dive. Combining this treasure and this couple’s love of the sea was a true delight: white gold diamond-studded filigree waves sprung forth effortlessly, and pave diamond accents around the center pearl were carefully added. The fact that the diamonds used were heirloom stones made this piece all the more special. The white gold mesh choker is a thing of beauty in its own right: decorated with elegantly engraved waves and finished with blue sapphires, it’s the final lovely touch to this necklace, which is truly an homage to the sea herself.
